Hey everyone!
I hope you all had an amazing festive break and are looking forward to the adventures 2025 has in store. Maybe some of you unwrapped a shiny new board this holiday or are planning to dip your toes into the incredible world of surfing we’re so passionate about.
Let’s be real, starting out can feel a little daunting. The nerves, the questions, the “what am I even doing out here?” moments. We’ve ALL been there, trust me. Even as a seasoned surfer, I still love nothing more than hitting the waves with a crew of supportive, like-minded women. There’s something so special about sharing the waves.
To help you get out there and feel the ocean magic, here are some amazing women’s surf clubs around the country you can join:
Newquay Women's Surf Club This friendly, non-profit community of surfers is all about making the waves accessible. Based in Newquay, they offer affordable lessons and surf trips with a laid-back, inclusive vibe. Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned wave rider, this group will help you share the stoke and build your confidence.
Bristol Girls Surf Club Looking to meet a vibrant community of surf-loving women? This group brings women together to celebrate the sea and each other. From surf trips to yoga classes, they create an inclusive, fun space for surfers of all abilities to connect and make lasting friendships.
Sisters of Stoke Based in Bournemouth, this empowering surf community is all about building confidence, strength, and camaraderie through the joy of surfing. Whether you’re catching your very first wave or leveling up your skills, they’re here to inspire and ride alongside you.
LNDN Surfgirl Community A surf group for Londoners with a shared love for the ocean. LNDN Surfgirl fosters connection and celebrates diversity, making sure everyone—no matter your background or ability—feels welcome and inspired both on and off the waves.
Board Girls Club Calling all surf and skate enthusiasts in Liverpool and beyond! This inclusive community is like your surf and skate besties rolled into one. Open to all ages and abilities, they’re all about fostering fun, connection, and good vibes.
Are you part of a surf club in the UK? Let us know! Share your community here so we can get even more women in the waves and grow this incredible community of female surfers 🌊
Maybe it's not considered a club but I'd throw in The Wave Project! It's an amazing charity to get involved with and mentor/support children through surf therapy. I've been doing it for 2 years now and the community is fantastic and the volunteering is extremely rewarding!
